I remember canoeing a fair way down the Gawler River when it was in flood... When the floods subsided and we saw the old galavanised water tanks, car bodies etc with sharp edges after the water had subsided... could have taken a leg off if we'd tipped out.

I like Gawler. I wish I can visit. It is getting easier to travel to Gawler because I am close to the train line between Adelaide and Gawler, so I am getting ready for a opportunity to come and visit. What places do you recommend for a first trip to Gawler?
